FAQs
Family
- How safe is it? The barges and canals are maintained with safety very much in mind. We give very thorough training. Children and non-swimmers should of course wear lifejackets (free).

Everyone
- Where can we park? We have free parking on site.
- Will you show us how to do it? Yes, we send a film and booklets before the holiday, and spend time with every crew explaining how to handle the boat and work the locks.
- Will we able to turn our barge round? There are frequent turning points, marked in the guides on board.
- Do we need a licence? No, and you don't need to pay for moorings or to use the canal.
- Do we have to pay for fuel? Not with us. Some other companies do charge for fuel, quite hefty sums.
- Will we be insured? You'll be covered for damage to the barge and third party. Personal injury, possessions and cancellation are not covered. Cheap holiday insurance is available from the Post Office.
